With over 20 years experience in teaching preschool and grade school gymnastics, our staff brings unparalleled knowledge to every lesson.  We emphasize physical activity and participation in programs that enable the children to discover the benefits of exercise and fitness at all levels. We have impacted the lives of many children through successful training, and have earned state, regional, and national titles.  In 2006, Paramount Gymnastics was named the Mid-Atlantic Club of the Year for the success of our level 7-10 competitive teams.

Our Philosophy – Building Healthy Kids – Our goal is to provide exceptional gymnastics instruction in an environment that fosters a safe, fun and positive learning experience.  Our program enhances each child’s coordination and mental focus through stimulating activities that require balance, strength, flexibility and endurance.

Our Staff – Barbara Sujansky, Owner and Program Director has been managing Paramount Gymnastics since 1987 (formerly Shields Gymnastics).  She became sole owner/operator in 1999 and has remained Program Director.

Paramount staff members hold current certifications through USA Gymnastics in Kinder Accreditation for Teacher (KAT), Movement Education and Lesson Plan Development (MELPD) and are Nationally Certified Instructors through GymCert holding current Level 1-3 GymCert Credentials.   Additionally, the staff is certified through the American Heart Association in Basic First Aid and Community CPR and Safety Certified through USA Gymnastics.

Facilities – Our brand new facility (scheduled to open on April 5, 2010) offers 15,000 sq. feet of gym space featuring all state-of-the-art equipment, all trampolines and tumbling trampolines are in the ground for added safety, five different foam block and resi-pit areas to aid in learning the most difficult skills, "Just for Kids" preschool specific equipment, cargo nets, ropes swings, inflatables and so much more.  Our two-story lobby area offers "birds eye viewing of all classes", and two private Birthday Party Rooms on the mezzanine level.  A fully stocked "Pro-shop" for gymnastics apparel, home equipment, snacks, accessories, and girls clothing is available for your convenience.    TV monitors throughout waiting area for your viewing.  
Safety Warning – Safety is our number one concern and even though all of our instructors are Safety Certified and we use only the best equipment and mats, there is still an intrinsic risk in the sport of gymnastics.

Quoting from the USA Gymnastics Safety Guidelines: “Assumption of Risk: Participating in gymnastics involves, motion, rotation, and height in a unique environment and as such, carries with it a reasonable assumption of risk.”
